Bukittinggi



BUKITTINGGI THE TOURISM CITY

      
       Most of people try to find the best way to enjoy the holiday, right??  They will spend holiday with shopping, playing, doing anything in the house, hang out with their  friends, or travelling to wonderful places. And now, I will propose to you in order to enjoy the holiday with visiting in Bukittinggi City, My Wonderful Land.
      In Bukittinggi, you can do some activities to feel how exciting The Bukittinggi City is.

1.Visiting the exciting places
Bukittinggi has some historical places, they are:

a.  Jam Gadang
   Jam Gadang is a big clock tower. The unique thing that you'll find in Jam Gadang is the number on the clock. So, just visit Bukittinggi... And you will know it...



b.  Lubang Japang
  It was a hole that built in 1942 by the Japanese but the use of indigenous energy to defense fort during World War 2 and the Greater East Asia War. In the hole, there are many tunnels which used as prisoner room, amunition room, logistic room, secret room for keeping the  worth thing and slaughter room.




c.   Ngarai Sianok 
   Ngarai Sianok is a beautiful canyon / valley, green and lush. A river is layed along the base of this canyon. If you stood on the canyon, you can feel the fresh air, watched the beautiful of Mount Marapi and Singgallang.





d.  Benteng Fort de Kock
   Captain Bauer built this fort in 1825. In the Dutch colonial period, this fort was used by the clonizer to survive from people's resistance.



e.   Taman Budaya Kinantan (Zoo)
    This tourist attraction is the oldest zoo in Indonesia. In the middle of the tourist sites have shaped the Cultural Museum of Minangkabau traditional house, the Museum of Zoology, and children's playground




f.   Aia Limpapeh Bridge 
  As a liaison between the Parks Wildlife and Cultural Kinantan with Citadel


g.  Tri Daya Eka Dharma Museum


h.  Rumah Kelahiran Bung Hatta



i.    Istana Bung Hatta



j.    Pustaka Bung Hatta



2.Hunting food ( Culinary Tourism)
   In Bukittinggi, you can find some typical food such as Karupuak Sanjai (chips that made from cassava), Karak Kaliang, Karupuak Jangek (chips that made from cowhide/ bufallo leather, Nasi Kapau (a stall which provide many delicious foods on the pot. Or you can taste the food from the street vendor. I'm sure you will like the foods


3.Shopping 
   If you are a shopaholic, you can go to the traditional that sell many souvenirs from bukittinggi like  miniature of Jam Gadang, Songket, clothes, and also sanjai.
